Today I met an amazing fashion stylist, shopper, and blogger Heidy Best from Chicago. She gave my entire Chicago Fashion Industry class at Columbia College Chicago a beautiful lesson on how the fashion industry works, and how she made an interest she had into a career. She gladly answered any questions we had for her and gave the best advice for all of us who might pursue fashion one day. Ms. Best also enthusiastically took a picture with me and reviewed my current work in the class. Right now, I am working with partners on a collection of dresses. These dresses are being created from vintage pieces long forgotten. I'm hoping that the finished garments will appear dark, romantic, and avant-garde.
