Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear Review

The latest menswear collection from Alexander McQueen was just what I had hoped for. It showed exactly what McQueen was, and still is, known for. Sharp tailoring, English historical fashion shown in a modern way, and just enough edge. They were "severe monochromatic" looks that screamed "high fashion," but then again, couldn't you say that that was what all of McQueen's runway shows were like?
I truly adore all of Alexander McQueen runway shows and these shows are one of my largest inspirations for my wardrobe. The way the different fabrics and textures are mixed to create a true and perfect outfit are outstanding and cannot be compared.
Actual individual pieces from this show are truly interesting. For example, the frayed and unfinished jumper looks like it has been left out in the sun. It is a truly unique piece and actually a part of a trend that I have noticed last winter, which is the punk-y, grunge-y look sweaters that are oversized, torn, and dark. Now this time for the future, they are sun bleached and lightweight.
