Gareth Pugh Fall/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear Review

Let me start off by saying that I had no idea who Gareth Pugh was until a week ago. Now, let me just say I understand why there were so many rumors about this man becoming creative director for Alexander McQueen way back in 2010. He denied it, according to Vogue UK. The job went to Sarah Burton, and Pugh went right back to work. His creations are atramentous and beautiful. For this specific collection, he chose bold black and white ensembles that were made of thick fabric in shapes that hinted towards a Victorian inspiration. The models' faces were greyed with somber, and their hair seemed loosely done with loose and matted ends that clung to the face. The hair acted as a veil over beautiful smokey eyes. It seemed ethereal, like something divine, but dark and almost evil-like at the same time. Towards the middle of the collection, there are floor length gowns in various shades that seemed scrunched in the middle. Those easy scrunches made quite a statement, in my opinion. Then, the collection unfolded into heavy and bulky leather made pieces that had massive amounts of detail in thick fringe. Overall, I'm madly in love with Gareth Pugh for his dark side to fashion, as well as being able to look back into the fashion of history.

Birthday HAUL

So, my birthday was November 2nd, and I extremely proud of the things I bought and the things that were gifted to me. I had a massive order that my aunt bought me from Forever 21. That order came in last Wednesday. On the actual Saturday of birthday, my parents gave me a hundred dollar bill and a word of advice. "Don't spend it all at a time." they said. They must not know me very well, because I did just that at this amazing store called Express. I bought two shirts, one green: the new limited editions with the contrast trim. Also, another one with an interesting plaid print that I've been having my eye on since last month.

Now, for the massive Forever 21 order. The order included three pairs of new pants, a wool tie, a new pin, a hooded scarf, and a moto jacket that I posted here. All of the clothes and accessories were amazing! And I love them to death and can't wait until I wear them and come up with more interesting outfits! Here are the five out of seven things that I bought!
